BOTANICAL OILS AND BOTANICAL OIL COMPOUNDS

Wise Woman Herbals oils are made by soaking our extraordinary herbs in the finest organic extra virgin olive oil for an extended period before pressing and filtering. As with all of our products, our botanical oils are made by a completely chemical free process.

ELIXIRS

Elixirs are very concentrated teas that are preserved with a small amount of organic cane alcohol. We make small batches to ensure freshness and use our liquid extracts to preserve the elixir rather than the standard method of simply adding straight alcohol. The result is a more concentrated elixir.

ENCAPSULATIONS

The finest dried herbs are selected and encapsulated in 100% vegetarian capsules by a process free of lubricants or additives. We use organic, cultivated, ethically wildcrafted, or best quality herbs.

ESSENTIAL OILS AND ESSENTIAL OIL COMPOUNDS

Our essential oils are aromatic plant essences that have been extracted from the herb by a chemical-free distillation process.

GLYCERITES

Our glycerites are made to the same exacting standards as our liquid extracts. Our time-intensive process results in a very concentrated non-alcohol extract in a base of pure certified kosher vegetable glycerine with minimal amounts of potassium sorbate and essential oil as natural preservatives. Alcohol and chemicals are not used in this extraction process.

GLYCERITE COMPOUNDS

Our glycerite compounds are special proprietary blends made to the same exacting standards as our single glycerites, and are renowned for their vitality and efficacy.

LIQUID EXTRACTS

We offer nearly 140 single-plant extracts in a base of organic cane alcohol and mountain spring water. Our individually tailored extraction process acknowledges the unique attributes of each herb throughout our multiple maceration process and contributes to the exceptional quality.

LIQUID EXTRACT COMPOUNDS

Our liquid extract compounds are special proprietary blends made to the same exacting standards as our single liquid extracts, and are renowned for their vitality and efficacy.

SALVES

Our salves are made in a base of organic extra virgin olive oil and beeswax to achieve a smooth consistency for easy application.

SOLID EXTRACTS

Our solid extracts are alcohol free in a base of certified kosher vegetable glycerine and some contain honey. The hydroalcoholic extraction of the whole plant is followed by vacuum distillation to remove the alcohol. No chemicals or high temperatures are used in the extraction process. This results in a high-quality product.

SYRUPS

We begin with a solid extract, which is then blended with a plant concentrate and glycerine. This brings it to a syrupy consistency.

TEAS

Our teas are very fresh and are made several times per year using the highest quality organic, cultivated, and wildcrafted herbs. Several of our teas were formulated by renowned herbalist Jillian Stansbury, ND and are designated 'A Stansbury Premium Blend'.

VINEGAR COMPOUNDS

Our vinegar extracts are made with organic apple cider vinegar.
